Angry 01 Cavalier window problems

Hello all, I have tried going thru most of the posts but there are so many so I thought I would just post and see if I get any responses. I have a 01 cavalier and have had many problems with the windows for the past two years. It started with my front two windows deciding not work anymore. The back two windows still worked great. So, I bought new motors for the front and had them replaced. Well, 6 months later, they stopped working again. Then, my back windows started doing the same thing. Now,I have a back window that is stuck down and I can't get it up. When I push the buttons in the center consol, nothing happens. There are no sounds or anything. I am wondering what it is that I need to check and/or replace? Do I need to replace all the motors or is this the switch that I need to replace? I am just frustrated because that back window is currently stuck down and it is VERY annoying, even with the plastic over it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you very much!

Re: 01 Cavalier window problems

Yes replace the switch, I have had this happen before and to a buddies cavalier too. Either you spilled something in it, or what happens is the plastic ends wear down so they dont give enough pressure to press the metal connectors together when you push the button to make it go up. Usually you can put the window down, but not back up like you said, get a switch, try eBay for one, I think I saw one on there yesterday, they are hard to come by. Especially 4 door power window switch.
