Re: Inbox: Subaru Impreza WRC 2007 Transkit by Reji

I am glad this brought a bit of different views.

Micha you are absolutely right, cast should be clean. But if you look at other Reji products I am more happy with a lot of flash then with bubbles and missing parts of body/wheels.

As for the other transkits there is Portugal 2007 and Monte 2008 in preparation.

I don't know about the price yet since it isn't on sale yet (it should be in few days).

I think all other questions are answered, thanks Sumak

Hi Sumak,

thanks for your answer.

Hasegawa rollcage more accurate than Tamiya one ??
Could you precise what exactly please as I don't have any Hasegawa model... and still haven't noticed (well, even try to see as I haven't started nor 2004 or 2005 versions) what of the roll cage changed from 2004 to 2005 model.

uhh...
So I suppose you mean Gravel Suspensions ?

So except the roll cage a Tamiya 2004 Japan model could match Ireland model ?
if body can match Tamiya model because that was my main question and you (or anybody else) didn't answer it...

I'm saying that because in fact I don't intend to build the Ireland rally but the Deutschland rallye so I need a "real" tarmac model.
That's why the Hasegawa solution is the worst for me because I'd have to fully rebuild the suspensions...
If Reji body can also fit Tamiya model with minor adjustments it would be a better solution for me to use a 2005 tamiya model.
But I don't have any Hasegawa model to compare each one's bodies and chassis.

I will do that in few days since I have both Tamiya and Hasegawa.

Ok it fits both kits, nice news.

Concerning the roll cage I'm sorry but... I could look at all the pictures you want but how to find the differences without having the Hasegawa kit ???
I could only see some inaccuracy in the Tamiya kit but that won't say Hasegawa did better if I can't verify it !

But I think that if you noticed that and don't give details here that shouldn't be so important...
So I think I will choose the Tamiya solution

Anyway thanks for the infos ! That will be helpfull when finally choosing the model and version.

Thank you, high prices as expected but it should worse the money...
Just to wait for the result of tamiya and hasegawa comparison and if it really can match the tamiya model I think I will satisfy my 2007 Sub lust with the Portugal TK

this is info directly from REJI Model boss...
body is updated directly from Hasegawa and "for" Hasegawa, that means... windows from Tamiya can be diferrent, wheel arches and undersides.... and rollcage is different
Result: using Hasegawa is simpler with Zero problems, using Tamiya... doesn't need to comply with transkit (no one from us try it)...

I hope, that this info from REJI is sufficient for all...

Mmm not good news for me, because if there really are some so noticeable differences than window shape between Tamiya and Hasegawa models I don't want to have both models in a collection... I only have tamiya models for the moment and that's also why I'd like to make the next one with a tamiya model...
I hate having two different interpretation of a same model in a collection, that gives a bad inaccuracy feeling...
But I think I won't have any better choice if I want to build the 2007 Sub...
Thanks Sumak for these informations and Reji feedbacks.

The "official" distributor of Reji products id Modelimex. Mediamix will most probably have transkits to. But have no fear, there is no problem with modelimex, they are great shop.

Hi Sasa,
thanks for the information, I didn't really know anything about Modelimex but no doubt they are serious.
Anyway this is not a trust question but a price one !
If we can get 10/15% off by ordering directly to Reji I would be very happy because I've already bought almost all releases of this company so I think I am a good customer and can deserve without shame such better prices that would moreover allow me to buy something I wouldn't have bought due to the price.
