Pesky Oil Leak
Hi, I have just bought a second hand 1999 mitsubish lancer and it has an incessant oil leak. I've had a mechanic out and he's replaced the rear main engine seal which didn't stop the leak. He came out a second time and put liberal gasket sealant around the bolt seals. Yet it still leaks. It's really annoying hence my name.. so has anyone ever had this problem or know what might be causing it??
Any ideas?? Thanks.

where is the oil coming from? the block? running down from the head? i just did a head gasket on a 4g63, it had oil running down the block. it was everywhere. i just used brake clean and sprayed it everywhere to find the problem. give me a little more info and i maybe able to help. what you say is a little vague.
