Engine Squeal!!!!!
Hello all.....I have a 2000 SE with 125k miles on the SR20 engine. Well now upon startup the engine makes a horrible squeal. It then goes away. What could this be? Please help.....I love my car....she has been good to me.

more likely to be the belts than the tensioner but it doesnt hurt to check it out while youre in there

its a gear in the starter. when i replaced my starter that was squealling, no more noise.
