Suspension question

I just had my 2000 navigator inspected and when I picked it up the first thing I noticed is the Check Suspension light is now on. I know very little about cars so I am not sure what to look for to tell them what they may have messed up. What are some of the tell tell signs something is wrong with the suspension? Are there certain things that aren't completely necessary that may be wrong with it, what I mean is if a certain part of suspension is messed up can you still drive it? Thanks for any help.

Re: Suspension question

Look for the Air Ride switch that may have been turned off. I think it is located in the rear on one of the side panels, but not 100% sure. The Owner's Manual will tell you where the switch is. The switch is turned off before putting it on a lift.

Re: Suspension question

worked perfectly, i don't know why the mechanic had sense enough to turn it off but didn't turn it back on....now the question I have is since I drove it 2 or 3 miles home with the air suspension turned off, will that hurt it any? If so I will definitely be complaining but thanks for the help!

Re: Suspension question

It should be fine now. Just maybe call the shop and tell them they messed up!
