Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

well i checked out the track times and stuff and i'm deffinatly going either tomorrow or sunday.. so i will soon prove you wrong.. anyhow even though you hate hondas, and yes they lack torque, they are easily modable and quick.. before my buddy rebuilt his engine for turbo he ran a 14.56 with just bolt on and removing his cat back... his motor right now has forged pistons with lower compression, a built bottom end and will be able to produce 400whp with the turbo setup we have.. properly tuned it will run in the 11's.. just some food for thought.. Some other guys that are going have rsx type s's.. one running 14.6 with just an intake and ecu, and the other has full exhaust, ecu, intake and some other shit.. so we are guessing he will run low 14's.. So even though you hate them they still are fast.. pain in the ass to drive in the city, but when you wind them up like a weed wacker they are fast..Anyhow i've had my fun with my stang.. i've ran 12.8@106mph with just bolt ons and drag radials.. i know fast.. the sentra is just a little side project for me its also my daily driver.

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

Thats just it, you have to wind em up before they are fast. Id rather have a car i can drive from stop light to stoplight with some good acceleration.

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

well what experience do you have with cars that are fast? i've been to the track a dozen times this summer with my stang and i drive mine better than all the guys down there. i know if i can drive a 320whp Cobra then i'm sure i can handle driving a spec v.. Not even that i have experience with fwd cars and launching them as well so i'm no novice to drag racing by any means..

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

hmm i grew up building cars with my dad and grandpa. Camaros, vettes, stangs, etc etc etc. going to the track was a great past time. I personally have owned a 12 second integra, ive been in 10 second camaros, that are quite common here. so dont even think for a second your the only one that knows speed

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

kudos to you lol great so we know speed.. i'm freakin pissed.. i have this terrible god damn cold and i haven't even been to work so i didn't go to the track.. today i was bored and needed to get out so i went for a drive and g-tech'd the spec v...0-60 times were pretty consistant, range from 6.9-7.2, but the 1/4 times were off by at least 7 tenths of a second.. fucking trap speeds were as fast as my mustang which is impossible.

1st-14.0@110mph

2nd-14.2@106mph

3rd-14.3@105mph

So the g-tech is deffinatly of, but i think anywhere from 14.9-15.1 is a good track time to shoot for and hopefully i'll find out soon.. i feel like a damn bull frog my throat hurts so bad.. if anything i had some practice launching on the street today and i know my 0-60 times, but for sure the 1/4 times are way too fast..

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

Aight, i went to the track today finally and it sure feels good to be right.. anyone that runs a 15.6 is a fool.. temp was 73 and it was a little windy... I only had two runs because there was a lot of ppl there and most were like pro street cars.. Anyhow my 60Ft times can imporve a bit, but thats just practice and i couldn't get much today.. i ran a 15.140 my first run, and the second run i ran 15.127.. I had crappy 60ft times 2.295 and 2.2 something.. i know i can get a 2.1 launch which in return i think will let me run a 15 flat..I had to work after i went to the track so i didn't have time to scan my slips but i'll get around to that today or tomorrow.. Over all i'm impressed with the quickness of my car and it feels great to beat a Z24 on nitrous.. you'll see what i mean when i post the slips...

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

short sifter to get these days I believe is the Nissan Motorsports one... I really don't think it is worth it though... just get a nismo shift knob... it makes shifting feel 10 times better... and ofcourse, some redline synth. tranny fluid... short shifters make it harder to put it into gear... so the shorter distance pretty much evens out with the extra time you spend when it hits a wall for the 1/4 second b4 it goes into gear... but I advise going against the B&M SS if you get a SpecV... there has been too many problems with them breaking cables... the new gen2 one supposively fixed that issue but I wouldn't take my chances.... my Spec has:

AEM CAI/Hotshot Header/Vibrant Exhaust/SSR 2.5" mid-pipe/UR Underdrive Pulley/TB Bypass/Hondata Intake Manifold gasket/APEXi Ground Kit/Nismo Cams/Nismo LTB/Eibach front&rear sway bars/Nismo Bushing kit/Tein SS coil overs/Stillen strut bar/NX Wet Kit(50 shot nozzle).... Right now I am just breaking into the 13's but once I throw my 16" Rota slipstreams(13.5 lbs each) on, and up to a 75 shot... who knows what'll happen.... oh, I have the JWT BS Removal kit too... and hopefully sometime soon I get around to ordering a clutch/flywheel... still trying to decide on which route to go on those...

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

wow first of all how can you even compare a 'stang' to a spec v...thats weak man..second you are right bout the track times.. my stock ser spec v 2004 ran 15.3's an 15.2' alot before i started adding mods..short shifter is big time BS dont waste the $$ atm i got I\H\E pulleys an running 14.7's... if i had the money i would have got tires to grip thats my big problem so u might wanna get some good tires.only thing i havent got into is suspention.its lowered but nothing else. i have videos of my track times feel free to check them out ill post them tonight. and im a shitty ass driver just so you know so theres no arguement there..but 14.7's an im happy i only spent 750$ total on all mods also.so most of those over priced parts are are pointless to me..

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

lol yea that was a long time ago. i actually sold the stang and traded in the spec v.. i now have a formula. a lot has changed.

However i did mod the sentra a bunch. i bought the hotshot header, jwt cams, jwt balance shaft removal kit, motor mounts, under drive pulley and aem cold air intake. before the cams and pulley i ran 14.5.. so i'm guessing it woulda went 14.3 with the cams and pulley.. Honestly i wish i still had the spec v instead of this formula..

Re: STILLEN QR-PRO ecu upgrade

well thats a big statement. theres a lot of variables involved. like how much boost, what size turbo, the tune, and traction... i'm sure theres a spec with a sweet turbo setup running faster then high twelves. I wish i woulda kept my spec v and finished up the na mods with a clutch, flywheel, mid pipe and catback. i know i could have ran a 13.9.
