Smile 90' cougar electrical???????????

Once again I have no dash lights, bummer. And it isn't a fuse. Well I just finished installing head gaskets on both sides, and now the ignition will not start the car. I can start it by jumping the soliniod/relay near the batery.
But, my dash lights are out, turn signals don't flash and the blower fan is not working. The car sat for about half a year without a battery in it. Is there any fusable links that can do all this damage?
Or is there any elec. conections near the firewall that may not be hooked up, that could cause this? Really need some help on this one! Thanks.

PROBLEM SOLVED:
It was the ignition switch(not the tumbler and key, but just behind them in the steering collum.) It had come slightly apart not allowing the circuts to complete. All of my fuses in the fuse box and in the main fuse box under the hood were fine. I had pressed the switch back together and tried to start the car and now had dash lights, blower fan turn signals, speedo, gas gauge and all working. So I zip stripped it for now until I can get to the parts store.

A NOTE TO ANYONE WHO DECIDES TO TAKE THE IGNITION SWITCH APART. DON'T: There is a small ball bearing in there. I must have dropped it a dozen times, and puting it back together is very tricky. It's easier to buy the special bits to remove it and replace it with a new one. The tools and the part run about 25 dollars.
