1990 c3500 tranny pan?
I have a 1990 c3500 v-8 4 speed. Today I replaced the starter. There is a small oil pan of some sort. Has a drain plug. It is right where the hydralic clutch goes in to depress the clutch. Anyhow the oil pan has a hole in it. There is no fluid in the pan.
Here is my question. what is the pan for? and what kind of fluid goes in it. and where do you put it in. The truck runs okay and shifts okay. I think this has been like this since we bought the truck, which is about one year. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks Jeff |

Re: 1990 c3500 tranny pan?
It is a splash pan or cover for the transmission converter and flywheel.
All is well on yours as long as nothing is running out of it. MT
