99 PLymouth Grand Voyager problems
I have a 99 Plymouth Grand Voyager that has a few problems I could use some help with.
1. I have to replace the tensioner pulley. My brother is going to be helping me and so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a diagram showing how to do it since he won't be able to help me without one? 2. Does anyone know where the fuse is that goes to the drivers side window motor? 3. The AC/Heater blower motor sometimes won't come on unless the driver or passenger doors are slammed shut. Does anyone know how to fix this? 4. The RPM and speedometer has started acting up by not always working when the van is first started. I have to turn the van off and then back on it get it to work, sometimes more than once. What could be causing this problem and how can I fix it? |

Re: 99 PLymouth Grand Voyager problems
1 - ? It's held by one bolt that is a PIA to get at. I recall going from the bottom by feel and the bolt is hidden by the power steering pump.
2 - It's on the Junction Block (JB) under the dash forward of the driver's left knee but, it doesn't power just the left window. If other windows are working it's not the fuse. The motors regularly fail. I've changed 2. 3 - Check for a loose connector on the blower motor. It's up under the glove box. I believe the relay on a 99 is in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) by the battery. Either that or it's on or behind the JB. 4 - Could be bad solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board, the Body Control Module (BCM) going bad, or the cluster itself going bad. Next time the gauges are dead smack the dash several times. If they come to life it indicates bad solder joints. You can try pulling the IOD fuse in the PDC. This will reboot the BCM. Perform a cluster self test by simulataniously pressing the trip and reset buttons (when you see the problem). If the gauges move the cluster likely is ok. My 96 is doing the same though just every few weeks. I'm suspecting the BCM.
