98 sable catalyst efficiency below threshold (bank 2)

I have had this problem for over a year. I could not pass inspection or pay for the repairs so last year a mechanic I knew did something to get the car to pass the inspection temporarily. I dont know what he did but I feel like it envolved driving the car alot and useing some PB blaster perhaps. If anyone knows what I can do to get my car to pass inspection it would be great.

Call the Dealer! They might replace it for free! Depends on make, miles, and age. I think it's 10 years unlimited miles or 100,000 miles, but not 100% sure. It's worth a shot!

The cat will need replaced to fix this issue. Right now with the price of Platinum being valuable, the old cat might help you purchase a new one.

I heard that it may also be a bad O2 censor but I cant afford to fix that or the cat. Does anyone know how to Cheat the emmissions test. I heard Something about clearing the codes and driving for a little while. Something about some of the computer tests running but not all of them which may allow me to pass somehow.
