AC on a Grand Prix 2000

My AC was not working . I bought a Refill Kit and strarted addind R134 to my system, the compressor strated and I started getting cold air. I had more R134 ,then I saw fumes in the front ( driver side ) near the front grill.I could not tell where it came from . Now I don't have any cold air ,I blew something.
Is there a safety valve or did I blew something major. Any suggestions ?
Thank You.

Re: AC on a Grand Prix 2000

If you were that low on refrigerant then you probably had a leak to start. From the looks of it the condensor which is the A/C component in front of the radiator. What you probably saw was the R134a leaking out.
