1994 Grand am dies going down road

hey I have a 94 grand am with a 3100 in it with 185k on it and it just all of a sudden dies going down the road but if you wait a second or two it gains control again. It normally loses about 10 mph then it starts by itself. It does it going any speeds but it likes to do it a lot when accelerating. I have no idea what this could be. There is never a service engine light on or anything. We just did a tune up on it and did the gas filter. If you could help it would be helpful.

sounds like classic fuel pump getting ready to go out. and you changed air filter too.

It sure does, but check the pressure just to make sure.
