Exclamation 1993 electric abs master cylinder replace

I know this is a question asked many times and answered many ways but my master cylinder is bad so I found a whole van that runs for parts and I was asking for some advice as to if I pull the master cylinder from both and put the good one in mine and vacuum bleed the brakes in order do you think I'd have a problem bleeding it without a scan tool if the abs is unplugged ? I tried bleeding it when I first got it by first starting it the normal way by pumping the brakes and it opened the abs valves so I could vacuum bleed the brakes and there was no air in the system so conclusion master cylinder .I prefere vacuum bleed over the pedal way because during pedal bleeding the master cylinder travel past the normal range of use and any sediment that may have collected could tear the seals . Anbody see any problems or better suggestions . I really need some Help I may have been a machanic but this brake system is beyound me and it on my handicap van for my son and the dealer quoted at least $2200 . Thanks for any help .

Use your vacuum bleeder and bleed the master cylinder with the test connections. Then bleed it at the master cylinder with the brake pedal to get out the air. If you do it this way it should bleed out.
You can try the vacuum bleed and if it doesn't work use the other way.
By vacuum bleeding the master cylinder with the plastic brake bleeding connections you will remove the old fluid.

Sorry not a Bosch system but a Bendix 10 System. Some components were covered for the life of the van. Check the online service manual for this under the TSB section and then go to brakes.

Chrysler used Bosch for their ABS systems and that is all I seen ,Bosch ABS systems including certain FWD cars that were Bosch ABS systems

Well I don't want to argue check the online manual for 93 C/Van. Bulletins and recalls. That I remember Bosch was dropped in 89 or 90.

Re: 1993 electric abs master cylinder replace

It is the Bendix 10 system and the recall is on the ABS system and the Electric Hydraulic Accumulator Only thus not the master cylinder , which is bull and I told them so , cause this is all one complete unit , B/S all around but I know from working at a dealer ship that the only way to get around these type of limited specific recalles is a Real high priced lawyer . So I'm choosing a simpler way also the other abs unit has been replaced under the recall.

The piston assembly and pump were covered for lifetime. Piston assembly was removed from assembly and rebuilt. This was done by the technician and was not replaced unless it could not be rebuilt.

Rebuilt units are available if not covered by the dealer.
http://www.modulemaster.com/original/index.html
http://www.modulemaster.com/ I think they are the same but one lists Dodges.

Re: 1993 electric abs master cylinder replace

Fixed, Replaced and worked great built pressure on first press of the pedal , Had to remove the upper intake plenum for better access , so while it was out of the way I did a tune up and replaced valve cover gaskets while I had access . I had it towed to the dealership where my father still works and bleed all brakes till it was all replaced with new fluid and my brakes work perfect (ie. Untill they mess up again and being this set up I look for it to ) Thanks for all the help .
