96 tranny troubles
I have a 96 LS. The car starts fine. When i put it into drive it clunks into gear then dies. I unpluged the cable from the smaller of the two sensors on the tranny, started the car, put it into drive, it clunked but stayed running. Im too worried about trying to drive it to autozone to check the check engine light. Could anyone give me any info???? Thanks.

Re: 96 tranny troubles
Maybe a bad sensor? I doubt that the trans itself will need replacing, as the AX4N is pretty good when it come to holding up. But yeah, it sounds to me like one of your sensors has gone bad.
