Re: gonna be buying a new truck...
nada quotes say that the clean retail value of the truck is $8,175 or 8550 with silverado package. and i expect it is less with the 5.0 litre. the truck looks a bit low but idk what your area is, up in new york that truck would get stuck alot with the running boards. honestly myself, i think thats way to much. i payed 1700 for my 94 sierra with 120000 on it. cab corners and fender archs in rear were gone. the truck is only a stand cab reg box but it came with the 5.7 litre and its a nice truck. i would never buy a 5.0 litre truck because they dont have the balls a 5.7 does

Re: gonna be buying a new truck...
well the reason im getting this one is i think its an ok deal for all the stuff that doesnt come stock. when i do finally go to buy it in about 4-8 mos, i will mention the blue book price puts it quite a bit lower like what Philscbx said. Ill try to talk the price down, and if it doesnt, ill just walk. i can find other trucks similar to it within an hour from here. the nice thing about the 98 is that it is right in town. i think i know a place downtown where you can walk in and get a free inspection.

Re: gonna be buying a new truck...
yeah you definately want to stay away from any shady looking dealerships, like in omaha nebraska theres "automart 150". if the word mart or a number is in the name of the place they're probably scammers. a friend of mine said that a friend of his uncle bought a pickup from this automart 150 place and found out after the tranny took a dump that they had put sawdust in the tranny to temporarily keep it from slipping and whatnot
