Re: Help

Could be either, but likely the synchros are old and tired in the tranny.

Or, that the clutch needs adjustment, or the pressure plate is worn, how are you able to tell all that from a simple post?

Honestly, no one here can tell you EXACTLY what is wrong with your car. It will require some troubleshooting on your end, better descriptions, or take it to a shop who can diagnose it, have a buddy look at it, whatever.

Re: Help

Yeah the clutch could need adjustment, I thought you were saying you tried to shift and it wouldnt go. If it wont go into first adjust your clutch, its probably not disengaging all the way.

Re: Help

And to answer your question about the GSR tranny, no it will not bolt up because the GSR is a B-series motor and you have the D-series. If you have to change transmissions, it just depends what plans you have for the car. If you just want it for MPG, get the 4 spd or the DX 5 spd. If you plan on building an all-motor D-series, get you an Si tranny. If your going turbo, I believe most go for the DX tranny because of the longer gears, but don't take my word for that one.

But like they said, go have someone check it out and see if they can tell what it is. Its hard to tell someone on here what exactly could be causing the problem.
