PCM *p0303* install guide anyone?

Well had the p0303 DTC come up, changed the wire and it ran fine for awhile and now it's back. i did check the plug for gapping/corrosion seemed fine. I have another coil pack that im going to swap in, if it's still having the probelm i was wondering if someone had a PCM removal/install guide as i can't seem to find one. Where abouts is the PCM anyways? i thought it was sitting under the packs but i guess not? 3800 II - 99 prix gt.

Thanks in advance,

Kyle.

The part that is located under the 3 coils is the ignition control module (ICM). The PCM module is located inside the air box. You have to disassemble the air box to get to it.

But I don't think the PCM is causing the P0303 misfire DTC.

Alright thanks for the info. Like i said swapped cable, plug is fine, just swapped 3/6 coil pack started up the car and SES light done right away (whew 3min job). going to scan it see if theres any other codes, now when it's in park or neutral i can only rev upto 4 RPM and then it'll keep making a rev un rev sound at the 4000RPM mark is that normal? because if i recal it never did that before..

The 4k cutout in park/neutral is normal. It's a PCM regulated rev-limiter to prevent engine damage due to over-revving.
