'96 Interior lights & radio malfunction when cold

On my '96 JGC Limited the interior lights kinda' flicker when I make a turn. I can hear relays clicking on the passenger side floor kick pannel. This happens more often on a right turn when it's cold out, but seems to go away when the cab warms up.

Also when it's cold out the radio will stay on, but fade to silent on it's own. And the steering wheel controls won't work for it, but I can turn it up by the radio itself. This will happen 2 or 3 times untill the cab warms up everything works normally.

I don't think the two problems are related, but anyone else have similar problems like these?

Re: '96 Interior lights & radio malfunction when cold

Are you still having this problem? I also have a 96 JGC that has the same problem with the interior lights coming on and off. The relay you are hearing is probably for the auto door lock. I suspect that one of my drivers door switch is bad or that I have a wire shorting to ground. I am going to try disconnecting it to see. I don't know what could be causing the other problems. There may be a loose or bad ground wire. Shoot me an e-mail if you find anything. [email protected]
