98 GTP starts then stalls?

For the most part of last year up until now, I've been having the same problem that I see alot of people have posted on here and it's when the Tac drops to 0 and the TCS shuts off. Last year when I search for what the problem was I was told it was probably the Crank Position Sensor. I never had it checked out because it would reset itself after I restarted the car.

I have had any starting problems until the other day I drove my car to the Doc's and when I went to start it up when I was leaving it started but it would stall after about 10 to 20 seconds.

I had it towed and my mechanic said he wasn't getting any readings of a back CPS.

I read where BNaylor said quote( Most crank sensor problems don't even generate DTCs.) Is a DTC a code that the mechanic would get when checking the sensors?

My mechanic said if it's a computer problem he's not going to be able to fix it. Should I just tell him to change the CPS and see if that fixes it. Or have him clean out the Throttle body, I read on here that might cause started problems too.

Thanks for your help

Since you have a '98 GTP with the L67 engine and symptoms where it dies after 10-20 seconds did you try the fuel pump resistor bypass? See link below.

Thank you very much, I will call my mechanic on Monday and tell him to order the resistor kit.

Just so we know for sure did you run the bypass at the fuel pump speed control relay in the procedure and is it working now?

I don't have my car, it's at the mechanics, had to get it towed there. Won't be able to contact him until Monday.
