subwoofer on 2005 impala
does anyone know if i can run an amp and sub off the factory stereo?

Most likely not,
If you want though, just remove the stereo and check for the aduio jacks. Im gonna be doing the same thing on a 2003 so if there are jacks let me know, and have you run the battery lead yet? Wondering if there is a clean way to get through the firewall to the battery. |

where do you go from the insdie or where do you go from the outside?....inside you run the wire to where ever it needs to be, and same for the outside. so up in the engine bay to the battery. I guess if I get a chance to get my car up off the ground I can take pictures of where I ran my wires.

actually there are two things you can look at in this one website.... www.impalahq.com 17 down on the right and 33 down on the right.

I bought a 500 watt Rms kenwood amp, a nice 12 inch sony sub & box. Went to best buy had them installed, costed a pretty penny but I had to by the rca converter for $25 for the stock radio and it works fine.
