self leveling shocks 2000 Montana
Does anyone have any info on these? Has anyone every changed these out for a non-load leveling shock and if so what did they use? Please let me know.
I've got one leaking and another on it's way out. Thanks Renny |

You can replace the shocks with Heavy Duty units that any parts place should be able to cross reference for you. A friend of mine did that when the shocks started leaking; - not air, but oil. GM does list a replacement HD shock in place of the air assist ones. BUT, you will of course miss the leveling feature the air shocks provide if you do go to HD's and the difference in cost will not be that great between the HD units and the replacement air shocks anyway. Are you intent on doing so because the self leveler unit not working, the hoses or the air bladders on the shocks are leaking or, the shocks are leaking oil? |
