99 Rodeo V6 3.2 Manual 5 Speed Clutch Friction point a bit high???

Hello all,
Very happy to have stumbled upon this forum!

I am new here, about to pick up a used Rodeo 1999 V6 3.2 Manual 5 Speed 4x4.

When test driving it, I found the clutch friction point to be rather high, I am used to friction points being about 3 inches from full depression as the pedal travels back up, it seems to be higher up on the vehicle I tested.
Question: Would this be a sign of a worn clutch or master and or slave cylinder issues? Not sure what to make of it, before I gut the transmission, I thought I would ask around!
Thanks.
