04 silverado driveline vibration

Ive got an 04 silverado z71 extended cab i am having some trouble which seems to me like a driveline vibration. Ive checked u-joints ball joints tie-rods replaced tires had them dynamic balanced. It occurs all the time but is more noticeable it highway speeds. The truck shakes and shudders and i can feel it in my seat in in the floor which kinda leaves me to believe its coming from the rear. I could really use some help this problems been driving me crazy for a year. Ive had it back to chevy 3 times and they say they cnt find anything wrong. Just wondering if anyone else has expierinced this

Re: 04 silverado driveline vibration

2 things:

1) Have you had your wheels and tires balanced recently? It's amazing how improperly inflated tires and out of balanced ones can effect your ride.

2) The phrase "Frame Beaming" has been brought through here from time to time regarding this problem so you may want to research that phrase and see if anything helps. I haven't seen a solution in regards to this one but, it's something that is apparent in some trucks...

Hope that gives you some direction to look...

Re: 04 silverado driveline vibration

The tires are brand new as were the tires that were on the truck when I bought it. Ive had them balanced severeal times at different places because I didnt trust the ford dealer i bought it from. I always make sure they're properly inflated and rotated as i was a gm tech for several years. Ive changed the transfer case fluid as well because i knew that had been a problem before. Ive never heard the phrase you used before so i will reasearch it. thanks for the input and info

some things that I think are important.. all tire sizes/wear the same? is this in 2wd...? are the tires wearing perfectly..??? did you check the drive shaft for balancing weight falling off???

did you/dealer remove rear brake rotors inspect rear wheel bearings..... was the vehicle in accident and the rear wheel was hit[bent axle] been there done that ??????

Did you consider having another mechanic inspect for this issue....??
