Clicking Noise
i have reacently gotten a ticking noise that sounds like and exhaust leak, but is not, nor is it in the motor. It sounds like a tranny click but does it when clutch is engaged or disengaged. help!!!

Does it just tick once while you are engaging or disengaging the clutch? Or is it continuous?

it does it constantly, like its an exhuast leak, but its not that. nor is it a dead lifter or broken valve, cause ive had that checked.

I'm not sure what it could be. It's just one of those things thats pretty much impossible to diagnose without seeing.

Does this noise occur when the car is moving, or motionless, or both?
If only when moving, sounds like a ujoint.

Could possibly be the Speedometer cable going. If it clicks when in motion. It will often make a ticking sound right where it connects if it is wearing/loose/giving out.
