cracking sound in front end.
The other problem I am having is when I step on the brakes, on the driver side in the front I hear a cracking like sound, any ideas? it's ONLY when I use the brakes.

Anything in the brakes or suspension in that area can cause this, the entire brake attaching hardware and suspension must be checked out to find the source.
