96 Sable elect. gremlin

'96 Sable LS wagon. New alternator, new battery, too many other new parts to list...

The car sporadically dies at stop lights, especially with the a/c on. Sometimes the key fob won't unlock the doors. The clock seems to fade, but before the new battery it would reset (some kind of power loss). The + cable isn't new but has a new terminal end that extends about 8" down the cable. I can't see any corrosion down either cable, but it could be possible.

Is there a connection or connector that might be loose or corroded? maybe a bad ground strap?

Yes. I replaced the battery positive cable(s) with much heavier wire to both terminal points. Haven't had a problem since.
