97 lumina door panel

how do i remove my 97 lumina' door panels 2 replace factory speakers??

Theres a screw inside where the door handle is, behind the actual handle. Theres a bolt in the area below, where you grab to pull on and shut the door. And there are 2 (I think) screws along the bottom of the door. Undo all of those and lift the panel up, it holds itself up with hook type things. Might take some effort to get it up and off, a couple hard knocks worked for me. Once you have it off just pull it outward. I had to pull the inside door handle towards me to get the panel off smoothly.

It was a pain for me to get back on because you have to line up those hook things again, and there are quite a few of them on there. Only other thing I can advise is that if you have power mirrors, you'll need to undo the connector to get the panel completely off as there is very little slack on the cable. Its no big deal, its just a connector you pull off.
