re-mounting alternator into my 98

My brother-in-law recently removed my alternator so that I could take it to be re-built.Now that all this has been done I'm needing to know how to correctly replace it.He's been a little harder to get back over here to put it in for me.I think I know how just by looking at it but want to be sure! I know that I'm going to have to recharge my battery,it's just making sure I put that triangle shaped piece of sheet metal where it goes{looks like behind the alternator} I can tell where the wires plug into.Could someone give me some advice?I'm sure this is simple for everyone.I've changed one on my saturn just not on my blazer.Wasn't here when he took it out-guess that would have been the easiest way!! Thanx to anyone who can help!!

That piece didn't need to be removed but yes, it goes to the rear/left side of the alternator mount. Make sure the battery cables are disconnected before starting work.
