Re: Why no trunk light?

Looked all inside the trunk thinking there's no way they left this out. That's the dumbest thing. On the other hand it's a great car in most other aspects.

Can anyone say if 2005, 06, 07, or 08 Impalas have a trunk light?

Re: Why no trunk light?

I didn`t think my 2004 had a trunk light either but it did. It was burned out. I was looking for the usual light in the usual location, then realized it was on the inside rim of where the back of the trunk lid meets the body. Found it by running my hand along the rim of the trunk and founds a wire leading to a funky little piece of plexiglas about 2" long. It`s a #921 bulb. opcorn:

My 2004 has a light, located in the same location as the previous poster's, err, where else.

Re: Why no trunk light? Found it!

Thanks!!! Found it after the post saying where. I did previous trunck searches, but i was always looking for an exposed bulb (not a plastic case that had to be pulled down). The owners manual doesn't mention the trunk light. Plus I couldn't remember if I ever noticed one. Mine is a #912 bulb. Sounds like it might burn out easy?

Re: Why no trunk light?

Maybe I got my bulb numbers twisted around, I`ll look again. I was looking for the exposed bulb too then I noticed the wires going into the plastic pull down case. I always keep an extra on hand now.
