Check prices at rockauto.com Sensor alone is $97 while the complete outfit starts at $202..without the hassle to take it all apart just to replace the sensor alone. OF course, prices here in Canada risk being outrageously higher...check on e-bay..maybe... check this one out..located in canada http://cgi.ebay.ca/NEW-FUEL-PUMP-PON...QQcmdZViewItem
There are a lot at cheaper prices located in the USA but fussing with extra shippping and broker fees with UPS might eat up the difference....

Obviously, I'd go for the full job...easier and no regrets...and not having to do it again later.

BY the way you did not mention year and your profile does not either. YOu should correct that.

Re: Montana fuel gauge/pump

usually when the fuel gauge starts getting eratic it isn't long before the fuelpump goes out. the connector on top of the pump shorts out as too small of wires were used from the factory. the newer fuelpumps make you cut and splice a bigger connector to your wires. a good fuelpump will run you $320.00. because if you put a cheap one in you'll be putting another one in in less than a year.and when you see the $320.00 fuelpump you will wonder how a piece of plastic is worth that much.and to boot it is still made in mexico just like the factory one.
