2.4 twin cam sunfire..any good??

Hi all...i have found a 97 Sunfire for my daughter. The Sunfire has a 2.4L twin cam engine. I know nothing about them as i am from the 70s era. Can you tell me a bit about the good and the bad with these engines as compared to the 2.2 engine. I am not interested in how much horsepower...just what can go wrong or if the 2.4 is even worth getting.What are their flaws..that sort of thing. Are the engines and their components more costly to fix than the 2.2. What kind of gas milage can we expect with the 2.4?The car has 120,000 miles. A quick reply would be great as the car may not be for sale much longer. Thanks in advance
