95 2.0 golf wont turn off...
My golf wont turn off, the only way to kill it is by popping the clutch, or removing the battery lead and alternater connection. While the car is on, if I turn the key to the off position, the brake light shows, but is dim. If I kill my car via popping the clutch, the check engine light, brake light, and another light stay on (like the car is in the 2nd key position just before turning it over). So every time I want to turn off my car, I have to pop the clutch, get out, disconnect the battery. Whenever I want to drive it, reconnect the battery, jump in, through the passenger side since I cant find a drivers side door latch for the life of me..., and it starts up just fine.
Anyone have any ideas what might be the cause of this? Or know where to get a drivers side door latch? lol, thanks for your help
