Question Engine Swap

I have a 1995 2.2 engine, bought new in Florida. I now live in Canada and need to replace engine. Is there any difference in engines made for Canada and those made for US or Southern US?

Thanks in advance

Re: Engine Swap

The engines made in Canada have a much better wrist shot. AFAIK, the engines are the same, but the PCM may be programmed differently. Also, the '97 export models may or may not have a MAF, whereas the domestic models should have a MAF in '97-later. If you're not changing the PCM, and use the original (Florida-style) intake, injection, and controls, it should be a bolt-in.
