04 GP GT gas cap light ?
I have an 04 Grand Prix vin 2 . My check gas cap light is on, I tried to clean the cap and it stayed on. I bought a new one and hit the arrow button to clear the message started my car and it keeps comming on. What else can be causing this light to come on?????? Thanks for any help!!!

Since a new gas cap did not resolve the issue it is best to get it scanned with an odb-ii scan tool to see what evaporative emissions fault(s) may be stored. Also, the DTC causing the light to come on may need to be reset if it does not clear after a few drive cycles. Again, an odb-ii scanner can be used to do this.  It was the gas cap. I forgot that the light does not go off right away once I drove it a few days it went off with the new cap. Thanks for the Help!!!
