Angry 2004 pontiac grand prix GT2

my car dies out while driving and now it won't start back up. HELP! every time i start it, it sputters and dies out. i had the same problem a year ago. i took it to a GM dealeer and they changed the module. it has ran pretty good until now. its not the battery either. does anyone have any suggestions?

Since it isnt the battery, and it dies when driving it dosent sound like the starter, it might be your ignition. Make sure your conections are clean and free from corrosion.

Re: 2004 pontiac grand prix GT2

does it immediatly start right back up? will it run good when restarted?

Maybe when it wont start, check fuel pressure and spark to see whats happening.

NOt sure what motor is in it, but if its the 3800, these have ha problems with faulty MAF sensors.

You could try running it with the MAF disconnected.

Yes, go unhook the MAF sensor and run it, see what happens. If it starts and runs good, you found your problem.

Any check engine lights on?

Re: 2004 pontiac grand prix GT2

might want to have it scanned for DTC's. Even though the light isn't on, there could still be DTC's stored.

Go unplug the MAF yet?
