Loud ABS Pulsation
I have a 2001 Ford Taurus SES, 3.0L, 105,000 mi. When I apply the brakes I can hear that the ABS system is functional. The brakes pulsate quite loudly. It almost sounds like metal-to-metal but the pads and rotors are new. It only does this in the snow/ice. This system seems to be louder than what I am used to. Is this normal? Thanks, Groovy

Re: Loud ABS Pulsation
Probably just the hydraulic pump doing it's job.. pedal may pulse pretty good depending.. I have 3 Taurus. 93,94, and 99, all with abs.. first 2 are quiet, 99 you certainly hear it when it's working, never paid no mind to it.. as long as the abs light isn't on, keep truckin' along..
