Angry Problems with driver side door handle

Hello everyone,
I've a 1996 Grand Prix 3.1 with high mileage (230K). Every since the cold weather arrived, I''ve been experiencing problems with the driver side door handle and as of this morning, the inside door handle. Initially, i was having trouble opening the door from the outside. Got up this morning (23 degrees out), was able to get into vehicle but wasn't able to exit using the inside door handle. Had to exit using the passenger door. Now, the only way i can get in this thing is on the passenger side door or climbing through driver side window! Need to know how do i get the door open so I can replace door handle assemly and pull off the door panel to see what is going on with the rods. Very aggravating to say the lease! Glad I got two vehs. Decided not to drive the GP to work due to embarrassment of getting in and out of it. I would appreciate any feedback from those with knowledge on this type problem with exterior/interior door handles. I would prefer you email me (Ron) at [email protected] with your feedback if possible. I'm having difficulties getting into the website while at work. I need to get this door fix ASAP for driving my Explorer while gas is $3.29 a gallon is very expensive. Thanks for all your time and assistance. Have a good day! Hope to hear from you soon).
