Honda City cabriolet

This will be my next quickbuild project.

The Tamiya Honda City cabriolet.

It's an old kit and pretty simple (electromotor kit.....)

I modified the body already.

I filled the lightholes in the frontbumper and made the bumperhole bigger. I also removed the indicator lights from the frontfenders and cutted out the grille.
The doorhandles are also removed.

The interior will get 2 racingseats

Most wheels are to big for this car but I think I'll use these:

and painted them chrome today en the spokes will be black.

Tomorrow I'll paint the body I think and it will be red or something.

Kris.

Re: Honda City cabriolet

Instead of painting it red, I painted it with DupliColour iceblue/silver.

And 1 layer clearcoat on it.

I'll put some decals on it I think and after that it will be clearcoated 2 or 3 more times.

Kris.

Re: Honda City cabriolet

I did a lot of work last week on this car.

First I've added some tunerdecals on the body. After clearcoating and drying.... I polished it with the micromesh polishset.

Added some mesh behind the frontbumper and made a turbo logo in the grille.

I also started with the interior and chassis because it needs some lowering of course

Re: Honda City cabriolet

Today I worked the whole day on this model.

I started with the interior. I had done most parts a few days ago.

I flocked the interior in blue. The other colours for the interior are blue, grey, and black.

I used a Fujimi sportsteeringwheel and some sportseats.

Meanwhile I also made an aluminium exhaust.

The body only needed the wipers and the look-behind you mirror

The chassis was lowered and the wheels where placed so I painted it and wheaterd it.

So I was out of parts. That means I had to fit the body on the chassis and make some finishing pictures

You can see them in the completed section.

Kris.
