Heath Ledger's Toxicology Report.

Associated Press NEW YORK — Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medication and other prescription drugs, the New York City medical examiner said Wednesday.

Quote:
The drugs are the generic names for the OxyContin painkiller, the anti-anxiety drug Valium, Xanax, an anti-anxiety drug, and the sleep aids Restoril and Unisom. Hydrocodone is another name for ibuprofen.

I chose to make a new thread, rather than bump the old one, because now hopefully we can put the false accusation and insulting remarks behind us now that we know the truth.

Re: Heath Ledger's Toxicology Report.

I just think it's sad because he has such an adorable daughter. I almost feel sorry for a lot of the children born into the celebrity lifestyle. It's just asking for trouble eventually. I'm not saying in all cases, because I think people like Gwyneth Paltro and Chris(from Coldplay) are actually pretty good parents as well as Shania Twain and her husband. I mean obviously there are no perfect parents out there...but considering the kind of crazyness that goes on around them they are doing a good job.

He was cool, pity he didn't read the labels on his drugs and mixed up one hell of a cocktail.

Re: Heath Ledger's Toxicology Report.

I always check for any kind of interactions between drugs i'm taking and i check dosages for them all. it's one of my interests (drugs, psychology, mental disorders) and whenever i'm prescribed meds i check them out so i would never make that mistake. i guess the doc should have told him not to take them all and stuff, or if they were prescribed by different doctors there should have been more communication about what he was on and what not to do.

stupid mistake that shouldn't have happened.

That's the problem I have with this whole situation and why I still stand by the suicide theory.

While it was said to be accidental, that IS assuming it was accidental. Despite the fact that he had valid prescriptions, I fail to believe that he didn't know he was improperly mixing them. I'd like to know how long he has been taking each drug and hear from the doctor that prescribed them as to the kind of education he did for Ledger about the effects of the drugs and not mixing them.

As unfortunate as the circumstances are, I don't think Ledger was stupid enough to just down a bunch of painkillers and antidepressants without knowing what it could do to him.

Re: Heath Ledger's Toxicology Report.

Does it really matter if it was deliberate or accidental?

He's still going to be dead for a long time.

Re: Heath Ledger's Toxicology Report.

I really have to ask, who cares?

I'm sorry, but i'd never heard of this guy until he topped himself. and everyone's getting all up in arms over his death. he's dead, there's nothing you can do about it. besides that, unless you actually knew him, what impact is this going to have on your life?

if you disagree with my point of view, tough.

Re: Heath Ledger's Toxicology Report.

^How could you not have heard of him? There's a hardly a girl that doesn't talk about him, you still socialize with the females right?

I hear ya though, actors/actresses are becoming like one hit wonders. Only they appear ina few movies and nothing more or this...

Aside from apparently being a good father (which...weird), he was a drug abuser and alcoholic.

That's the problem I have with these arguments. You can assume this and assume that and come to your own little conclusions, but to make it public in a forum where I have given ample evidence to not just prove other wise but pre-contradicted this entire statement.

The levels of drugs in his system were non-lethal, the combination of some of the drugs suppressed his brain and his heart stopped. Other sources in the Australian Media also count in that the proscription drugs were consumed in a 4 hour period, not at once.

It WAS accidental until you can prove otherwise. I hate these arguments that reverse the obvious.
