drive belt pulley bracket

Ok guys I have a 98 Talon 420A. The adjustment bolt on the ps/ ac pulley broke off and is still stuck in the mounting bracket! Where in the world can I find this bracket? I've checked with junk yards and they don't have it because it's always attached to the engine when they pull them. And dealers want 300 for this little bracket. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated!

Re: drive belt pulley bracket

You might could find one on ebay.

Why dont you just get the bolt out and put another one in.

Re: drive belt pulley bracket

Take a drill and drill a hole through the broken bolt and pop that shit out! Use a metal drilling bolt though so it'll cut right through it while spraying with WD-40. Did that to the whole front of my car when i had the accident. All the bolts were so rusty they broke inside the nuts.

Re: drive belt pulley bracket

I agree with all the previous posters. I wouls suggest you drill it out, and then hopefully replace the screw. The bracket should be fine when you drill the bolt out.
