Dash Cluster-Instrument panel -Guages

I own a Chevrolet Cavalier 2004 I am having problems with the instument panel, the guages are acting funny 80 km an hour and i am probably going 50 kmhr . Has anybody fixed that problem on their own. Any suggestions would help. Is the problem a soldering issue or something else.
Thank You

Re: Dash Cluster-Instrument panel -Guages

might not be your cluster, could be your speed sensor on your transmission. I would guess that before the cluster.

Re: Dash Cluster-Instrument panel -Guages

My Sunfire did this. Its a 97 and I doubt contact issue would be the problem BUT, check if your battery terminals and grounds are a clean connection, if they are, get your battery and alternator tested, it happened to me right before both of mine crapped out, I was driving and all the guages would start going nuts.....I sanded the corrosion off my terminals, put a battery and alternator in. No problems since......
