AC crapped out-1999 lesabre

Hi... can anywone give me some basic troubleshooting for my air conditioning that isn't working- not like it's not working well- It just all of a sudden died. I've never had a problem with it before. Fuse ok, dashboard lights up when AC activated... many thanks

Re: AC crapped out-1999 lesabre

the shop recharged the system with freon and it worked- at least for about 5 weeks and then it died again.. so obviously there's a leak... they said they checked for that when I took it in and paid them 250.00 btu could find anything... they said they put a dye in it as to tell where it may be cominmg from but that ws 7 months ago and likley I;ve missed the boat on that - thoughts?? you know anything about this dye / troubleshooting idea?
