So this is what it feels like to be f***ed up the ass...
Well what a crappy year.
So crappy, that I just have to say, worst year ever. I lost my job in september because I refused service to a minor. Although I contacted the officer of Liquor, Gaming and Racing about it (they manage and enforce the Australian Liquor laws to pubs, clubs, hotels and bars), my boss is giving me a bad reference to every job I apply for. For the past month I have been knocked back by TWENTY ONE pubs, clubs, hotels, bars and even non-liquor work sites, and 90% of them are STILL recruiting. Although my massive, detailed complaint to the Liquor boards forced enforcment action on my behalf against the Hotel, he is getting back at me by, illegally, preventing me getting another job. Now I know the community here, and in the past have told me to get balls, so I did. http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/9265/iwinss3.png Image updated, imageshack wasn't producing a thumbnail My other mother (best friends mum) is a regional manager for a health food and suppliments chain across regional NSW, Australia and so I am going to attempt to get her (will be no problem) to phone my old boss (who is the prick giving me bad references) telling him that she has my resume and attempt to get a bad reference from him. With that armed, I can then involve my cousin who is a criminal victim solicitor. Our first step would obviously be to write a threatening letter. Then to actially take action. Then to add salt to the wounds, with my savings running low (but enough to survive for a few months) struggling to find another job and about to be caught up in a bullshit wave of legal crap; my baby dies. http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/435/dsc00106em6.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/778/dsc00107il7.jpg (The pictures arn't showing in preview post?) I was stationary in traffic when a 17 year old ran into me at 80km/hr (50 miles?). The car I hit infront of me has no damage, even though mine is completely fucked. The car? A VW Golf. Yes, that's right , I said it. Not a scratch. http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/5449/dsc00108kw9.jpg The car that hit me (the faultee) will be getting charged with neg driving (naturally), and will prob lose his licence (tougher p-plate laws). Meanwhile, I am still shitting with an open butthole. Thanks to this prick, and my ex-boss who is just making life harder. http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/9250/dsc00109ea0.jpg http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/7941/dsc00110ge6.jpg Last edited by -Davo; 11-23-2007 at 02:32 AM. |

Your sitting the biggest gold mine and you don't even know it...
Your in Au correct? Start buying Jdm parts and selling them to US buyer on forums etc. You'll make roughly 200-350% profit on every item dpending on how good you are at sales and taxes.

I don't get it... why did you get fired for being morally responsible? And why is your boss trying to blackball you?

He is trying to blacklist me because to him, I attempted to "bring him down" for firing me, which wasn't my intention. Any bad rep he gets is bad for his position within the company, and damage is damage in it self, and I can only assume he's doing it to 'get back at me' for brining the matter to the attention of the cops. Edit: http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/9265/iwinss3.png Just added that, it was in the first post but wasn't loading. Basically, I got him on a thin line. Selling JDM parts? Like spare honda parts? |

Re: So this is what it feels like to be f***ed up the ass...
A few days ago I got an email from some guy at the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing and he had this to say:
Hotel fined 55,000 AUD for permitting sale of alcohol to minors. Licensee fined 2,200 for forklift operation without valid licence. Licencee fined 550 for supplying alcohol to minors. Licensee fined 5,500 for failure to cooperate with occupational health standards, failure to fix gas leaks [upon request of WorkCover] and for turning off the CO2 alarm and permitting supply of alcohol to intoxicated patrons. Failure to train staff in CO2 and induction was passed with warnings because it comes to a "time" factor. Hotel fined a further 11,200 for failure to cooperate with the licensing boards. Goddamn it. So this is what it's like to fuck someone up the ass. I am now life banned from the hotel, if I go back, I will get charged for trespassing. The guy hates my guts now, and I have errased all trased of my connection with the pub. I think I win. |

Another thing to think about and not sure if it applies in Aus. or not but are you able to sue him or the hotel for defamation of character? If so you can sue him for lost wages that you would have received by getting one of those other jobs that he was talking bad about you when you did what was legally right and he has been discovered to have been wrong. Like I said not sure if it applies in Aus. or not but here in the states I know a few people who have done that to big companies and won. Just another way to possibly f*ck him in the ass even more.

Yea, Definetly defamation. If you ever got a bad reference from there it's slander.

Taken care of, we took it to a work place ombudsmen and he wrote the hotel a nice letter of threat of legal action if the licencee says any derogatory shit against me. The next day I had three job offers. |

Man...that's crazy, if anything he should have backed you up for not selling to a minor. Why did that cause so many problems in the first place? I still don't get that part. I guess that's water under the bridge, as my grandmother says, at this point.
