Lightbulb decided on a 3.2/3.5... but am still worried

OK so i came accross a very good deal on a 3.5 and their enclusing the wiring, computer, accessories, and exaust. now my only concern comes from a mechanic that told me that it'll never pass emitions... can anyone elaborate on if this rumor is true.. should i be concerned about this subject?

Get a second opinion, call some state authorities and ask, he may be right. If you have a 3.3 or a 2.7 (sorry, not sure what year Concorde we're talking about here) as the original engine and it's shot, it may be possible that there is a law in your state mandating that if an emissions controlled engine needs replaced it must be replaced by the same type of engine the vehicle came equipped with.

Worth checking in to before going through all that trouble only to find you can't drive it because it won't pass an emission inspection.
