Car Wont Start
Ok well I have 92 Dodge Caravan. In the past week I noticed that it would no longer start on the first try always the second. Yesterday it was acting strange and after getting home and turning off the car and trying to start up again the car would not start at all. There is little or no spark and the engine will not fire. As a result of this I picked up a new ignition coil and pluged the wires into it and it will still not start. Can anybody help figure what else to do? Do I actually have to screw all four bolts in and mount it to the engine in place of the old one? I havent done this yet because I have to take out the air filter case which is very irritating. Another person told me it is a problem with my ECM and I have no idea how to fix it. Can somebody please help in getting it to start? And does the ignition coil have to be grounded before it actually works?

Re: Car Wont Start
Can't help much but can lead you somewhat. On the front page you will see your user name, if you look down below it you will see "search this forum", when you see it click it and a box will show up, type "no spark" and search those post till you get a response on this post. There was some helpful info on those posts for your van. And in reading them I do think you need to have it grounded. If by chance you do get it fixed please post back and let us know the outcome. Hope this helps. I will try to find some more info and will post back.

Re: Car Wont Start
To keep me from getting carple tunnel syndrome open this thread and look at the bottom of the right column. You'll see 3 ignition systems listed. Determine which you have and follow the test procedures listed. http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us...rInfoPages.htm
