EVAP system and ODB code ?

does anyone know where the canister is located on a 96 jetta 2.0L I keep getting OBD II code p0440. The second question that i have is about ODB II code p1580 i have read some of the forums about this code and was wondering what anyone has tried or done to reset or fix this code. thanks for the help

Re: EVAP system and ODB code ?

For a lot of people the problems you've described can be solved by getting a new gas cap. It sounds strange, but it seems to do the trick.
