transmission

I have a 1998 gtp and the other day I was driving and the car felt like it just went into neutral and stuck there. I got it home and when I pull it out of park the only thing that happens is the Rpms change a little and the doors lock as normal... any ideas?

Re: transmission

Welcome to AF

Did you tow the car home, or did it go in gear and you drove it home? Were there any odd noises or problems (harsh shifting, vibration, etc...) before it quit?

Re: transmission

I towed it... I was lik 1000 yards from my house so it wasnt really a big deal but there was no noise or nothin... It shifts hard naturally because of the zzp pcm1 the shift kit and perf shift being on so nothin was really any different...

Re: transmission

I have a 99 gtp and the tranny is acting up also. It'll drive fine for about 5 minutes and then i lose all gears the rpm's shoot up and it goes nowhere. I've been told the pressure control siolnoid or to just bebuild it seems to be a common problem when these cars reach about 140,000 mile.
