1989 Century complete tail light assembly question

My husband has another complete tail light assembly and needs to change his out as lenses are broken. He wants to know how to do it. He said that when he took off the the replacement one from the junkyard there were wires and couldn't figure out where they went and just cut them. sillyness Anyway, he needs to take off his old one and put on the new one and needs some direction please. Can anyone help please? Thanks so much! I cannot find anything on the internet and this place has some great people with answers.
