Miniature Needle files - little pieces of joy.

Hello all...

the question is simple "where can I get super mini needle files."

Sofar, my ebay, google searched have come up with always more or less 'big' sets of needle files, 14 centimeters on 33... which is a bit too big for serious modelwork.

So I wanted to ask the modelbuilders around here who use those small things of joy, can you tell me what brands are there, which I should buy, where to get?

thank you very very much

Olivier

Oli, I use the cheap ones found in Leroy Merlin, Praktiker, Auchan etc. About 4 euro for a set of 6-10 files - last for ever

Also I recently picked up a set of Hasegawa shaped rifler files but they were expensive

You just have to visit Google, and type "3/32 in = ? cm" (without quotes), and you get 0.238125 cm, though I feel more comfortable with 2.38125 mm for something this small.

If you want even smaller needle file, there's this company called Mineshima that makes a round file with the tip diameter of 0.6mm. It's tapered, and the fattest part seems approx. 1.5-2.0 mm.

Rainbow Ten seems to be carrying their stuff.

You need to as jaykay640 he did the 1/43 porsche build and used some really small files at the widest point it was 1mm. Here is the link that shows the files.
