96 tahoe 5.7 stalling

Could you please tell me why my 1996 Chevy Tahoe 5.7 stalls when engine is cold and after it is put in gear. It comes right out of it, and will restart without touching the gas pedal. The temp outside is in the teens and the stalling mostly occurs at low idle.

Check your battery cables, make sure they are shiney clean. I believe the positive side has 2 cable, seperate the 2 cable they may show like a varnish on them, and or the bolt itself may be corroded. My 96 k1500 would intermittenly die and restart like you say. This cured it.

Good Luck
